SSC RESULT 2026 PUBLISHED TODAY

SSC and equivalent results for 2026 were officially published this morning, Monday, 10 August, at 10:00 AM. Education Minister A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon inaugurated the result at a program held at the Ministry of Education, where chairmen of all education boards formally handed over their results to the minister.

Overall Pass Rate: 62.25%

Across all 11 education boards (9 general boards, Madrasah, and Technical), the average pass rate stands at 62.25%, with 116,676 students achieving GPA-5 (A+).

Pass Rate Down Nearly 4 Points From Last Year

Among the 9 general education boards, the pass rate this year is 64.05%, down from 68.04% in 2025 — a drop of 3.99 percentage points. GPA-5 achievers also fell sharply: 106,009 students scored GPA-5 in the general boards this year, compared to 125,018 in 2025, a decrease of about 19,009 students.

Girls Outperformed Boys

Female students outnumbered male students among those who passed by 107,982, and 11,401 more girls achieved GPA-5 than boys this year.

Board-by-Board Results

• General boards (9 boards): Pass rate 64.05%, GPA-5: 106,009 students
• Madrasah Board (Dakhil): Pass rate 55.49%, GPA-5: 6,716 students
• Technical Board (SSC Vocational): Pass rate 58.20%, GPA-5: 3,951 students

312 Institutions Recorded a 0% Pass Rate

This year, 312 educational institutions across the country had not a single student pass — a sharp jump from previous years. The breakdown:

• 57 institutions among the 9 general education boards (up from 48 in 2025)
• 226 institutions under the Madrasah Board (up sharply from 86 in 2025)
• 29 institutions under the Technical Board (up from 0 in 2025)
• Additionally, one foreign examination centre recorded zero passes

The total number of registered institutions increased by 303 this year, and the number of exam centres increased by 201.

Why This Year's Result Was Delayed

The 2026 SSC and equivalent examinations began on 21 April. Written exams for the general education boards concluded on 20 May, while Dakhil (Madrasah) and SSC Vocational (Technical) written exams concluded on 24 May. Results are typically published within 60 days of the written exams ending — which would have placed the result around 20 July. Instead, boards published results roughly three weeks later than the usual schedule, on 10 August.

Total Candidates

More than 1,857,000 students filled out exam forms for SSC and equivalent examinations this year. Of these, 1,418,398 candidates sat for the SSC examination under the 9 general education boards.

How to Check Your Result

Official websites: Results are available at eduboardresults.gov.bd and educationboardresults.gov.bd.

SMS method: Type SSC [space] [Board’s first 3 letters] [space] [Roll Number] [space] [Year] and send to 16140 or 16222. Example: SSC DHA 123456 2026 sent to 16140. Note that 16140 is a newly added second number alongside the existing 16222 for this result cycle.

Madrasah (Dakhil) students needed to pre-register before result day using the format Dakhil [space] [Board code] [space] [Roll] [space] [Year] sent to 16222 (e.g. Dakhil MAD 123456 2026). Pre-registered students receive their result automatically by SMS the moment it's published.

Technical/Vocational students use the same SSC format with board code TEC: SSC TEC 123456 2026, sent to 16222.
